von der Graf Kennels is a breeding facility located in Northwestern Oregon dedicated to the breeding of "true" Working German Shepherd Dog.

All of the dogs on our website are 100% European Bloodlines, have hip certifications either from OFA, Penn Hip or the European Country of origin.

Our main objective is to breed the best working dogs possible for use by Law Enforcement Agencies, Schutzhund Enthusiasts and individuals who feel the need for home protection as well as a good family companion.

Our dogs are of stable temperament, selected from the best individual dogs and bitches with excellent working pedigrees. Our German Shepherd gene pool consists of Belgium, Holland, East German, West German, Czech and Slovakian WORKING Lines.

We line breed on Lewis v. Malatesta, Mink v.h. Wittfeld, Grim z Pohranicni Straze, Fado v. Karthago, Orry v.h. Antverpa, Robby v. Glockeneck, Gildo Korbelbach, Axel z. Hury, Andy vd Bildsaule and Greif Lanhtal and excellent foundation bitches such as Carmen v. Tiekerhook, Afra vd Stoppenberger Land, Steffi v Tiekerhook, Uscha and Rima vd Maineiche and Anna von der Rader-Brucke. We also out cross our individual dogs to produce the best working temperament, along with the necessary conformation of a working dog.

All of our puppies are home raised and receive an enormous amount of our time and love from day 1 forward. They are socialized and neutralized to many people and "things" (i.e., Slippery Floors, different noises, etc.). I perform a structured temperament test at 7 weeks of age that is unsurpassed.

I place my pups in organizations and homes based on the pup's individual temperament and my clients needs.  Note to family pet buyers: The breeder would like you to read Madelyn Graffia's article called "Facts and Tips of the Working German Shepherd Dog."  before contacting her to purchase one of her dogs.
